Belhurst Castle is one of Geneva's most recognizable wedding destinations—a historic stone estate set directly on the shore of Seneca Lake. Its architecture, lakefront grounds and elegant reception spaces make it a natural setting for a formal, romantic celebration.

The property offers two very different wedding reception ballrooms. Choosing between them changes the feel of the evening, so it helps to know how each one works.

Meritage Ballroom

Approximately 3,300 Sq Ft · Up to 160 Guests

The Meritage Ballroom suits smaller and mid-sized weddings. Large windows, high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and chandeliers give it a bright, elegant character, with views across the gardens and Seneca Lake. Its own distinct floor plan keeps dinner, formalities and dancing close together, so the celebration stays intimate and connected.

Castle Ballroom

Approximately 4,400 Sq Ft · Up to 250 Guests

Belhurst's larger ballroom is built for a full-scale celebration, with a spacious reception layout, a dedicated dance floor and indoor and outdoor bar areas. Expansive windows keep Seneca Lake part of the room, and the scale supports grand entrances, formal dances and dramatic lighting. When the dance floor opens, it fills quickly.

Whichever ballroom you choose, the lighting, sound and pacing are designed around the space. Uplighting, dancing on the clouds and cold sparks read differently beneath exposed beams and chandeliers than they do in a large, open ballroom—and the timeline is built around how guests move through each room.
